What is your favorite part about working for Chex?
The people! Everyone has so many different skills to offer and I have found Chex to be incredibly welcoming, especially as a newbie. In HR, I get to know people on a more personal level, and also have responsibility in finding new "Chex people" to join our team, which is something I take a lot of pride in.
What is your favorite product Chex carries?
I would say it's a tie between Runamok Cinnamon Vanilla Maple Syrup and Michael's of Brooklyn Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce.
What’s one professional achievement you’re most proud of?
This year, we were able to launch an email to text feature for our operations crew, which has significantly increased communication. Our operations crew is essential to our business and having them in the loop is a huge achievement I worked on in coordination with the management team and tech team.
How do you like to start your workday?
I start my workday saying hello to all my cubicle-mates typically with an iced or hot tea in hand, before diving into my inbox. I like to check for any urgent emails first, and then I prioritize my day (always on a handwritten list) with tasks to keep on track with my department's goals.
What’s one of the biggest lessons you’ve learned while working at Chex?
It's still early in my Chex career, but I have already learned while working here "getting better everyday" isn't just a value to Chex, it's a reality. In HR as well as other departments, I constantly see new changes to help improve Chex as a company overall. Everyone's drive to be better is both inspiring and motivating to me, and a lesson I hope to show others as they join the Chex team.
